Default Hey

Hi there i am called scott and i am 19 living in London.

My dad first introduced me to zermatt about 6 or 7 years ago and have been back about five times i think I LOVE IT

He himself has been nearer or over 20 over the last 35 years and remembers some of the locals including the owner of chez veroni.

I am hoping to come this winter although he is away for a month with mum other and i have a feeling he isnt all so willing to convert our weak pounds into swiss francs,

i was looking to come to zermatt with my dad between december 13th and 20th

i saw on the website an appartment for about 700 chf

from what i can work out for me and my dad 19 and 61 ski passes will be another 700chf

flights will cost about 400chf

do you know how much the train from zurich will be? i tried to pre book online but could not see....also would geneva be cheaper

and finally how much is ski rental roughly

Im sure he knows all this but i am trying to get the lowest possible price so i can persuade him to take me again

thanks for any help

love the site

The best thing to do its try and get soem deals, the website www.zermatt.ch does quite a few, some hotels, some appartments. Ski rental for a week at a guess will be around 250 euros, if you are having bots, skis and poles....but then you need to take into consideration food...you will spend over 100e euros on the slopes for lunch....well you might depends where you eat...
Whats the appartment you are staying in called?

i was looking at something like this under 600 chf for the week for 2

we have stayed in the schlosse tenne, alpenhoff, schonegg, jagerhoff and another yulen or perin hotel

however my dad hates the exchange rate and we dont really eat in the hotels so a cheap appartment would probably do .... even this one
HAUS PARNISLA is 4 stars and we know all hotels in zermatt are really clean so im sure this must be...

postives near the ski lift

downside far from town>....when does the bus run until in not will just get taxis

also can someone work out the return cost of the train from zurich on the dates 13th and 20th, i tried the sbb site but could not work it.

thanks for any help )))

parnisla is right down the street from where i used to live. Good people and it's about 75 meters from the klein-matterhorn station so you can't go wrong!

thanks johnnie

what is it like inside>? goood condition etc?

also how long is the walk to town, was going on the basis good to get up the slopes early and cheap due to distance from town but hopefully very nice inside or within reason as i have found most places in zermatt are.

where abouts are you johnnie

also do you know a guy called stephan arnold ... i think was our ksi instructor last year, might get him for another days lesson
