Default Xmas in Zermatt with Kids

Hello, just came accross this website.
We (my husband, son (2.5 yrs)and I) will be spending two weeks holidays over Xmas and New Year in Zermatt. We are a young family and I was wondering if there are any other young families who will be spending their Christmas holidays in Zermatt this year who would like to meet up with us sometimes. We are a German/English family and speak both languages. I am looking forward to meeting you and having a drink in Zermatt.
Dax

My wife, 1 yr old daughter and I are going to Zermatt with 2 other couples from 12/28 to 1/3. Not sure of our schedule, but there will be plenty of skiing and drinking.

If you haven't been there before, you'll really enjoy it!

Hi, thanks for your reply. We are old Zermatt hands and are always up to meet new people. If you like pop around the Monterosa where we are staying for a drink.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Been busy.

Looks like your staying nearby. We are at the Hotel Elite and I'm assuming you mean the Hotel Monte Rosa? There are a couple of Monte Rosa listings in Zermatt. We are actually planning to us the facilities at your sister hotel Monte Cervin Palace. Gotta hit the whirlpool after skiing!

This is our 2nd trip to Zermatt (my wife and I), our friends are all newbies, so it should be fun. Our first trip was short 2 days, but I think it was enough to scare my wife out of skiing forever! She's a novice skier and Rothorn Paradise was a little too much. I've never heard the end of that mistake. She now prefers the off slope activities.

We'll have to hookup a happy hour at some point.

Mark

Hi Mark,

I think we all must be so busy at the moment...so I can't wait for us to leave on Saturday for Zermatt.

Yes, you are right, we are at the Hotel Monte Rosa and therefore will always use the Spa and pool at the Mont Cervin (fantastic!).
My husband and I have been probably 7 or 8 times in Zermatt. Now with the little one we are doing things a little bit different. Can't wait to hit the slopes again. If your wife is not so comfortable on skis no worries, you got to take her for lunch to the wonderful skiing huts in Findeln or on teh Riffelalp.
Happy hour sounds just up my street. When you are there text me on 07725545726 or ask in the Monte Rosa for the 'Turners'. Look forward to that.

Dax (&Mat and Felix)

Dax,

Great to hear that you are so close to leaving. The snow looks great, so you guys should have a fantastic time.

I'm still not sure of the plan, but would like to meet up. I'll stop by your hotel or text you once we get in to set this up.

Enjoy!

Mark
