Default Researching local transportation for a novel

Details to add realism to the story please...

I need to move my characters down from the Hornli Hutte to the cable car, then to Zermatt and up to Gornergrat to their room at the Klumhotel, and I am having a devil of a time figuring out what all they would see and experience, especially the Schwarzee cable lift station to Gornergratbahn station connection.

Is this a walk? and if so what would they see in between street names particular shops, cross a river, or whatever...

Or is this an electro cab or bus ride how far how long etc.

Sadly I just don't have any way to come there in person and I have scoured the web with no luck, so I rely on you, the fortunate folks who live in that beautiful area to steer me right.

direct email is:
seattleogre@yahoo.com

Thank you for all your assistance and know I envy you all for where you live.

Hi,
I think I will be able to steer you in the right Direction, firstly to get from the Hutte you have to obviously walk down the mountain to Schwarszee. From there you have two options which are to walk (in the winter) down the Red run off the side to Furgg or take the bubble lift down. From there you are at the end of the village. You can take a electric taxi or a free bus....you follow the river down and pass 'Le Mazot' restarunt on your left, as you pass Le Mazot you keep to the left and you go past Le petit Cervin, the ice rink, Julen Sport and then the main high street. Here you pass McDonalds and all the expencive watch shops. When you get to the train station you take a right and come to the Gornergratbahn....i can explain to you more in detail over email....send me one if you want a more detailed plan

Talking Thank You

Sorry for the delay. I became embroiled in a rewrite of parts of book one. Your answer was perfect! Exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you for helping out.
Best Wishes, Safe Travels and Happy Climbing,
