    Update for 15th March -

Following on from yesterday the winds haven't slowed down still at 20km/h but what a stunning day again! Klein is still closed and the majority of Trockner but things are looking positive for the other ski areas.

Get your skiing into today and tomorrow as Sunday is looking like a complete white out, over the weekend expect a serious dump of fresh powder potentially measuring at 30cm+. This really would be the few days to get your fix of sun and perfect snow. Get your booking in at the outside mountain restarauants as they will get packed extremely quickly.

Run of the day: Black 8 from Blauherd, conditions should be world class

    Update for 17th March -

Morning guys. At present things are looking very unsettled in Zermatt. Strong winds are coming in bringing with them shed loads of snow which is fantastic! We are looking potentially at nearly 30cm before the day/night is through. Winds have stayed at a high 25km/h at mid level, obviously higher at top (Klein).

Trockner and Klein are both closed due to high winds but the rest of the resort is still operational but I think Stockhorn will shut too due to wind and visibility. Stay at mid level to be safe, Gornergrat should have wonderful snow. Tomorrow the powder should be amazing so hit up the off piste and some of that tree line for all those competent skiers!

    Update for 18th March -

Morning all. Not a great deal to report today, weather has closed in a visibility is pretty terrible. Klein, Schwarzee and Trockner are all closed at present due to white out conditions and elevated winds, it's about -10 on the slopes without wind chill.

Runs are open on the Rothorn, Gornergrat and Sunnegga side but visibility means dull light levels am make it difficult unless you have the correct colour goggle lenses. Snow is predicted to fall for most of the day, hopefully around 11cm.

    Morning all,

Is look pretty good people in the Matterhorn ski resort. A small amount of residual cloud is remaining but nothing to particularly worry about. Its still cold with mid level temperatures holding firm at -10 but luckily wind has now dropped to a more manageable level at 10km/h.

All of the lifts and pistes are open and with a 245cm depth on the upper slopes, conditions are looking superb. Zermatt was lucky to of received over 38cm over the last 7 days and it is predicted to get more over the next coming days.

Run of the day: Itinerary 17 over the ridge of Rothorn dropping down to Tuftern, quite excellent.

    Update for 22nd March -

Morning all, well I haven't seen this much constant snow fall in March in many years I have to say! It just keeps on coming everyday, over the weekend there is a predicted 36cm of snow, which is fantastic for the resort and the Easter skiing.

At present all of the runs and lifts are open and servicing the entire resort. Although keep an eye on Klein/Trockener/Rothorn as cloud cover is sweeping in and lifts may be temporarily closed.

Runs to really try out at the moment would be itinerary runs 58/59/60 from Schwarzee meeting Red 52 towards Furi. Please only attempt if you are a experienced skier and have full insurance.
